Thesis: Today’s society is living in a virtual world. The virtual world has affected the way people interact and communicate; it also begins the quest to determine what is “the real” and why are people choosing to live in a virtual world.
Body 1: With the rise of technology and easy access to the web, people are force to surround there lives in a virtual world.
a.Computers, cellphones, internet, and other sources of
b.People have changed the way to interact before it was face to face and now there are cellphones, text messaging, web cams, and social medias that allow people to interact faster.
c.Although people have easier methods to communicate, it may be debatable that there communication is not real. It is not real because it is not face to face.
d.Face to face is what society still determines as real because there are people, who are physically in front of each other, showing emotion and talking with words.
e.People know feel that communicating through the internet is the same as face to face communication.
II.People are able to build up and make up what there life is on social media. There are no boundaries or limits to what people post on social media.
a.Social media has become a way for people to interact with others, showcasing or advertising what there life is.
b.Social media allows people to connect with others and build virtual friendships.

a.Rick Deckard begins the book with being ruled over by materialistic items.
b.In order to know what is real one must feel empathy, humans have the gift to feel empathy and androids do not.
